6. VAR 3: Availability of Food

Like we said earlier there is the place of Government in this book. And the Government is supposed to publish the amount of farmed lands and the total amount of import of food into any space.

In most mathematical problems we begin by having trustworthy pieces and later combining them. So we begin with maize to understand this while keeping this book short.

We keep reducing the problem still to have a piece of maize field maybe ten steps by ten steps.

We would notice that there would be one to four cobs of maize per matured maize plant. Ranges are quite important. Most real life calculations should return a range not a value. When you are getting a value that seems to be a piece of maths not a whole problem.

And from there calculate a range of maize seeds on a cob.

To get the total number of maize from a field is not just multiplications but multiplications with subtractions. Because of pathways, or fertilizer didn’t get to some places or some path of the farmland is unexplainably stony etc.
